Who we are

We are Real Desperation - an adult media catalogue service based in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. We do not produce media - we only organise and distribute existing content through our website: www.realdesperation.com.

What personal data we collect and why

Email address - you will be asked to provide us with your email address during the creation of a user account. Your email will be stored on our secure server, and is not displayed publicly anywhere on our site - it is only only viewable by yourself and the Admin. Its primary purpose is for you to use when logging in to your account - however in exceptional circumstances the Admin may use it to contact you. This will only ever happen if: we cannot reach you via the on-site message centre, and it is absolutely necessary that you are contacted. We do not share your email with any third parties, and if you deactivate your account, your email will be permanently removed from our database.

Cookies - when you visit this website, your visit is tracked by cookies. A cookie is a small data file with a unique identifier, and does not include any personal information, and by itself may not be used to identify anyone. These cookies last for 90 days, and include information such as the ID of the last video you watched. Cookies will also be set if you close a notification such as the "over 18" warning on your first visit.

If you have an account and you login (sign in) to the site, we will set two cookies with your user ID and a unique key code. These cookies tell the server you have access to increased site functionality, and allow you to stay logged in and access the site across multiple devices - each of which will be set an identical pair of cookies. These cookies do not include any personal information, and by themselves may not be used to identify anyone. Each cookie last for 90 days, and will expire if you logout (sign out) of your account on one device.

Content from other websites - When you choose to watch a video on Real Desperation, we may display the same video embedded video from another website by default. This is done in order to both save bandwidth, and respect the orginal producer or uploader. Watching an embedded video is like visiting the other website - it may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third party tracking, and monitor your interaction with the video, including tracking it if you have an account with the other website. Real Desperation has no control over this, and you are subject to the individual site(s)' privacy polic(ies) on these occasions.
